I just had a conversation about what it would be like to have Glen spotting you at a gym. I can't imagine feeling safer. Really great stuff here. Hoping for more. Cheers!

DON'T over do it! "One of the greatest animators on earth!" Look at the crap he turned out on Oliver & Co.. About the only great thing he did was Ratigan and it's been down hill ever since. He's a one dimensional animator he thinks by pressing harder on the paper his animation will be sincere....

If you go into a dark room late at night, face a mirror and say something ignorant about Glen Keane three times...Milt Kahl will magically appear and then beat you with a croquet mallet.

True story!

Hey Matt! You're the one fantasizing about Glen Kean spotting you at the gym! I think you need to stop typing with one hand....

Matt said...

No way Spokeshave! It takes years to get this good at typing with just one hand. Especially here at work!

Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to get back to working on my life-size sculpture of me and Glen Hi-fiving after winning the Super Bowl.

Okay, Matt and Spokeshave. This ain't gonna erupt into some kind of Internet nerd frenzy (if you've been to a DeviantART forum, you'll see what I mean). Glen's a good animator. Maybe he isn't the best animator, but he did some great animations for Disney. Personally, I didn't like Oliver and Co. that much, but I like a lot of his later stuff.

As for "one dimensional", it's all to the eye of the beholder, which doesn't necessarily mean that we have to be in a hospital and awaken to pig-men (non-sequitur, I know, but a TZ reference was needed here). He puts emotion into his art, and that matters the most.

As for the croquet mallet thinig, something like that's happened to me. Just at a Comic-Con after bashing the hell out of Jhonen Vasquez. They WILL chase you with rotes and torches.

And finally...

"Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to get back to working on my life-size sculpture of me and Glen Hi-fiving after winning the Super Bowl."

That's a hilarious joke. A HA HA HA HA...

Please, tell me you're kidding.
